Do you already know the Daffodil Trail in Monschau? A stone’s throw from the city center of Monschau, you can find the National Park Information Center Gate Monschau-Höfen. This is not only the perfect starting point for many hikes, but also the perfect place to learn more about this special area.
The wild daffodils that bloom profusely each year in the spring get extra attention here through an exhibition. And for good reason! In an area of about 280 acres, some 6 million daffodils usher in spring here in April. A unique spectacle that produces beautiful photographs. Through the fourteen-kilometer “Daffodil Trail,” clearly marked with signs, you can easily explore the area on your own.
But you can also choose to take a guided tour that will help you learn even more about the nature reserve. Every Tuesday at 2 p.m. you can take the “Wahlerscheid” grade tour here, for example.
